Let me preface this review by saying that I read and reviewed the first book in the series, Demons Within. I gave it a very positive review because I really enjoyed it. One of the things that I enjoyed most was that it happened over the course of well over a year – nothing was too rushed. No immediately jumping into bed. That is not the case for the follow-up, Angel Without.
I was excited to read the book because I enjoyed the first so much. But honestly, I was really disappointed. It was very rushed, neat, and tidy. I believe the book took place over the course of 3-4 days.
That being said, if I hadn’t read the first, I probably would have enjoyed this one a lot more. It was a decent story, good characters and hot sex. But it was just too much filler for me. Too rushed, too fast and too easy.
So take my review with a grain of salt. You may enjoy it more than I did.
