Oliver Ollie Barnes is an overworked, bitter and angry submissive so lost in his own need that he can’t see straight. The fact that his longtime lover and Dom ended up to be a selfish bastard is making him even more lost and bitter. He gets dropped by his Dom that is punch one in the gut, punch two to his gut is that it only takes his ex a couple months to have a new much younger sup prancing around. That hurts twice as much as the fact that he was dropped to begin with. The only glimmer and chance of escape Ollie has is the naughty daydreams he allows himself about the company handyman that is not just young and beautiful but in Ollie’s daydreams he dominate him like no other man ever has and in the way he so deeply needs.
Garth Wagner is a Dom, not something Ollie knows, he doesn’t let Ollie know a lot of things that he knows about Ollie just because even though he’s a man who loves to dominate other men he has a lot on the line too in pursuing Ollie. He wants Ollie and has for a long time. The two men meet under very embarrassing but thrilling circumstances. For Garth it is a chance to get close to Ollie and for Ollie he just thinks it’s a onetime deal and a way for both of them to get their rocks off. But Garth has other plans, plans that Ollie fist has a very hard time believing they are true and honest.
It’s no secret I love tortured souls of a characters. I love characters that have to battle large obstacles to overcoming their past. Ollie is just such a character, he’s hurt, angry, suspicious and has nothing to lose, so when he is caught in the act by Garth and implying that he is using the visual of Garth to get off he is in such desperate need he lets Garth do pretty much anything to him but still fights himself because he wants to be in control of himself and not have to rely on others for getting what he so desperately needs. What I like with Ollie is that the author, Angelique Voisen, has managed to make his voice very strong, almost too strong because he slightly overshadows Garth in many aspects. Garth is great, he’s real but his voice is not as strong as Ollie’s which in a matter of speaking is ok because maybe you can say this is Ollie’s story in a way. I like the humanity in Garth that we get to see his vulnerability spite the fact that he’s a Dom. Garth is this solid clear no fuss man that Ollie needs.
I really liked this story it was a great read, good flow in the story and the characters were well developed, especially Oliver, but it felt a tad rushed in the end and at 49 pages maybe that is how the story is meant to be told. But I’d liked the story even more if I gotten to know them a little more, especially Garth. Part of a good story is to get connected to the characters, together as well as individually. What we saw from Garth was great so it isn’t strange that we wanted more.
Thirty-year-old submissive Oliver Barnes is a workaholic. Ollie practically lives in his office. After his old Dom dropped him for a younger sub, Ollie wants to avoid complications and more emotional scars.
Dominant Garth Wagner is a young repairman who works at the same building. He’s intrigued by the busy suit who doesn’t seem to have a life beyond the office. When Garth catches Ollie in a compromising position, he makes Ollie a proposition. Ollie has to be his for an hour, or he tells Ollie’s boss what he does during his spare time.
Ollie expects Garth to cash in sixty minutes of dirty down time. He recklessly bares it all, not expecting Garth might demand the ultimate toll. Losing his job might be the least of his worries when what Garth ultimately wants is his complete surrender.
