This is book 3 in the Fitting In series and I could tell that it may have helped to read the first books, I say it wasn’t necessary, I really had no problems nor did I ever feel lost. This book revolves around Bryce and then Toby and Matt, an established couple.
Toby and Matt are interested in adding a third and more specifically they have their eye on their older Lieutenant, Bryce. Bryce is up for it as he wonders if they will be able to submit to his dominant nature in the bedroom.
Silvia gives really good characterizations of her MC’s in this book. It was so much easier to visual the characters when I’m given a description I can picture in my head. This also adds to the eroticism of the sex scenes which there are quite a few, the author brought 3 men together in a sensual and erotic combination(s) that for me were quite hot.
Bryce spends most of the time in the book fighting his demons from his past that hinder his decisions in the future, such as relationships and career advancement. It isn’t until he accepts the prior that he can move on with his career advancement. I like Toby and Matt, I felt the emotional ties that they have for each other, and here is the sticky. I didn’t feel the tie from Bryce to Toby and Matt, and that I would have really like to have seen.
I think the story would have benefited some with maybe one less sex scene and that space taken up with growing the bond between Bryce and the boys, because I certainly felt how the boys felt about Bryce. I don’t think the ending would have felt so set up if the emotional bonds were placed earlier in the book.
Bryce has been a firefighter for ten years, but when a horrific house fire leaves him reeling, he moves to a new city, hoping to shove those memories behind him. As he adjusts to his new station, Bryce keeps to himself until Matt and Toby, two hot young men in his unit, throw temptation in his path. Bryce knows better than to mess around with men he works with, especially two newbies who are in the closet. But after a difficult day, Matt and Toby offer him compassion and friendship, which slips so easily into sex Bryce finds the combination irresistible.
Matt and Toby want to expand their relationship to include a third, and they’ve set their sights on their sexy bear of a lieutenant. Their first night together is a scorcher, and, more than that, it feels right, to all of them. But since Bryce refuses to hide who he is, and dating men on his shift is against the rules, all three men are going to have to make some tough choices if they want to stay together.
Silvia Violet writes erotic romance in a variety of genres including sci fi, paranormal, alternate history, and historical.
She can often be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like “Do you write children’s books?” She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she’s actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinful chocolate treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading children’s books to her wickedly smart offspring.
