It took me a long time to write this review, this book really bothered me. I contemplated how to write it without being mean spirited. Then I started thinking, why should I be nice and spare someone’s feelings when I’m given a book like this to read, because obviously they didn’t care about the reader’s feelings. I rest my disappointment with this book solely on the editing, if it was even edited. There are so many glaring problems that took a brilliant and original story and just left it out there to die.
Vegas is a phone sex operator, so you would think he would use a fake name for his job, right? Wrong, he uses his real name while answering the phone. Who in the Hell would do that? Most all of the characters in the story have geographic names, such as London, Venice and Aspen to name a few. I’m not sure if the author was doing this to add color or not, for me if they all used this style of name when they were answering phones, that would have been cute. But again, these are supposedly their real names. It gave the story an unrealistic feel, the characters needed to have a name change when they were not working. This is just a minute sampling with some of the things I found wrong.
Now to the story, this is a true mystery and the author does a phenomenal job of sending the character, Vegas and the readers on a thought provoking journey. What I especially enjoyed about the whole mystery thing is that the reader never really knew any more than the character. It added an extra level of suspense and intrigue. When the killer is exposed it is as much as a shock to Vegas as it is to the reader. This was done extremely well. The whole problem with it, is you have to wade through the bullshit to find the story.
The end of this review now goes to the ending of the book. Let’s just say I think the file I downloaded was a few pages shy, this is one of those books that just ends, without really ending. The story line is good, that is the only thing that elevated this ranking to a 2 star.

Vegas is a hot phone sex operator who knows just how to make your deepest, darkest fantasies come true either with a gentle whisper in your ear or with a rough growling command. When he’s in control, you know you’re in good hands. Vegas can tickle or scratch whatever itch or fetish a caller can throw at him.
But his job at the exclusive ‘Black Vanilla’ has its dark side, which becomes all too clear when Vegas receives a call one night that hits a little too close to home.
Somewhere out there, someone’s watching him. Someone who’s taken their fantasy one step too far. It isn’t long before Vegas finds himself entangled in a web of dark and dangerous obsession. An obsession that can only end one way.
“Dirty Talk” will take you deep into the world of stimulating oral desire and blur the lines that exist between our ultimate fantasies and harsh reality.
(While this book does contain dirty talk…. it DOES NOT contain…’disgusting talk’, Joey does a great job of giving you some kink but not making you uncomfortable)
