What a fun little read. This book isn’t so much about the erotica as to the romance and build up to the main event, and by main event I mean….lot’s of sheet grabbing and moaning.
There are quite a few little nuances that added to the character of this book. Kian is a shy introvert and his only thoughts are his studying to keep up his scholarships. Kian is the opposite of Hunter, who has the exterior appearance of a bad boy, tattoos, band t-shirts and worn jeans. Kian wears glasses and Hunter wears tattoos along with a few piercings that were quite delectable.
Hunter has made the same sweet treat for Kian for 2 years as Kian comes to the little shop daily at 4 pm. Hunter has been seduced by the innocence of Kian, Hunter finally asks Kian out on a date. It’s during this dating stage that I was able to see the subtle shift in Kian’s character, Kian was becoming more self confident and happy. It was a heartwarming story as the characters became a couple even though Hunter had no problems calling Kian his boyfriend from the first day that they actually started speaking to the other.
Kian and Hunter really felt like a preordained couple, 2 souls that were meant to live their lives with each other. And the sex, wow, lucky Kian to have such an erotic and attentive lover, the sex/love scene was phenomenal.
I have to bring this up because it bothered me a little as it went against the nature of Hunter, it was the constant affectionate names that he kept calling Kian. Endearments are nice and placed appropriately they work well in a story. I just felt that Hunter wouldn’t have used them the first time that Kian and Hunter first started speaking and it made the character of Kian feel younger than what he was.
Kian is an extremely dedicated college student. A shy young man who is determined to reach his goals through hard work and dedication . He has no time for relationships. He is much too busy trying to make his dreams come true. He rewards himself daily for his diligence by visiting his school’s cafe for his favorite treat. Kian also uses the visit to break from his strict self induced restrictions by admiring the sexy barista who makes his ice cream floats.
She is a true romantic at heart and is a total fan of the “Happily Ever After.” She will be the first to describe her writing as love with an edge, since she incorporates some form of BDSM in some of her work, but she says she has a little bit if everything from sexy CEO’s to grumpy Cowboys, but her main focus his the lasting love between her characters.
