Most of the characters are the same. However, that about covers the similarities between the original and this second of the Honky Tonk stories. Coastal Cowboys is filled with sex and suspense. And it is one of those books that I just couldn’t put down. I read it in a day (including in bed at night to finish).
Ethan and Hunter are still here and continuing to learn and adjust to each other and the deep love they have for each other. But a face from the past, whom we met in book one is back, and causing major trouble for our two friends.
Reggie is here, living in New York, and discovering that he is more of a man than he gives himself credit for, when he meets and becomes in the life of a new character that will draw you in and pull at your heart. He becomes a major player in the book, so keep an eye out for him! His name is Drew, and that is all I am going to tell you about him.
Cane, Hunter’s past Sub is living in California, meets and amazing but extremely mysterious man, who throws Cane for a loop, confuses his heart, and eventually becomes an unlikely hero of the story.
And of course Carter is still here running the Honky Tonk, and Jake is still the manager of the ranch. Cookie and Dottie are here, still the support system that helps Ethan and Hunter through one of the best suspense mysteries I have read in a while. Thing go terrible awry, and only with the help of this unlikely cast of characters do Ethan and Hunter survive the trauma that is headed their way.
Great story, great read, and great writing make this a terrific book to read. I loved every minute of it, and like I said at the beginning, I couldn’t put it down!
Book Description In this sequel to Honky Tonk Ethan and Hunter are in New York to see Ethan’s parents who had thrown him out at 15 because of his promiscuous behavior. They like Hunter and are overjoyed when Hunter asks them for Ethan’s hand in marriage but old habits die hard and Ethan comes away from his home feeling low like when he had first been told to leave. Things get worse at his old hang outs and soon all of the things Ethan had done to make himself feel like a good man are forgotten as he lets old feelings come back making him question himself and the love Hunter feels for him. Reggie is living in New York going to school but something is missing from his life and one night when he goes with Hunter and Ethan to a BDSM club he finds out who that something is. Drew is tied and abused and he takes Reggie’s heart with one look. Drew’s Master just happens to be Ferguson Kenroy, Ethan’s old lover, and Fergi wants Ethan back. When Ethan and Reggie snatch Drew away from him Fergi takes Ethan to compensate. Cane is living in LA and longs for a Dom who can give him the love and strong hand he craves but instead meets Seth, a hit man in a mafia family who gives him so much more. When Hunter and Ethan go to LA to hide from Fergi they all learn that no one is what they seem and love runs deeper than pain.
