Confirmed Kill started with a bang…pun intended. Patricia started off in the past in the Afghanistan desert with two lovers that bring us into their story immediately. In the first few pages I fell in love with Dane and Ichiro, their passion and tenderness, only to have my heart jerked out of my chest as Dane is tragically killed. Yeah, I said it, the first few pages! It only gets better, more loving, more tear jerking and action packed from there.
Next we are in the present day in Los Angeles with some characters from a few of Patricia’s other books, Cassidy Ryan and Zack Teal. Again we are in the middle of steamy love that only Zack and Cassidy can give us readers.
Cassidy is a LAPD Detective and was called to work a crime scene that screamed mob hit. Two hot love scenes and here comes the mob in the first part of the book. If that doesn’t hook you nothing will! With this mob hit some other characters come back from past books, including one of my favorites, Cody Redsun, an FBI agent from Houston.
In the next few chapters we learn about Ichiro again, and how he is still in M16 only now undercover as a hit man, the deadliest in the world. Ichiro has a special sexiness, is a trained Ninja and his latest assignment is to protect a Russian who’d been in prison for being gay, sent there by his father of all people. We learn of the sweet love story of the marked man, Vasili, with Valentine, a Dom at Zack’s Texas BDSM club, Invitation Only. They’d been in love in Russia, which sparked the wrath of Vasili’s father to have the government arrest the two. Their love was strong but they were separated and Valentine thought Vasili was dead.
In the course of this we discover that Valentine has a new love, Trask. Right there my heart broke because since he’d gotten out of prison Vasili has been looking for his lover and as he was finally getting Russian prison and has sent not one but several hit men to finish his son off once and for all.
That’s when he meets Ichiro, who was sent to do the job. Ichiro really wants to protect him but Vasili had been through enough it was hard to trust the big gorgeous Asian man.
As much as my heart broke for the fact that Valentine had moved on, the scenes we see between he and Trask let me know why. Val and Trask are great together, and Valentine thought Vasili dead so had given his heart and soul to Trask, who was so sweet and special I fell right in love with him as well.
Besides that was the fact that Ichiro was falling for Vasili already, that is, and vise versa. Both couples took my breath away.
I don’t want to give too much away but I will say that these two couples steal your heart with their path to falling in love. Ichiro felt protective of Visili immediately and that had nothing to do with his assignment to protect him. The attraction for these two was immediate and just got stronger as the story went on, taking us to Westburg, a familiar stopping point in Patricia’s stories but made new and exciting once again as only this lady can do it.
This story was filled to the brim with love and excitement. The heroes and villains were remarkable. The familiar characters showed they are still around for a reason. I can’t get enough of her characters and now I’m adding Val, Trask, Ichiro and Vasili to that list.
If you love hot scenes of man love, terrifying hit men that leave you warm all over, suspense and page turning action, this is a book you have to try!

Ichiro Hayashi has been hired to kill a man whose actions threaten to bring down a political empire which stretches across oceans. Hayashi, an assassin trained in the ancient art of the Ninja, has only one sacred duty… he must carry out his mission, or die trying. The kill should be simple yet the target is unsophisticated and without protection. These things give Ichiro pause and he wonders why anyone would want this particular man’s life destroyed.
A young Russian is a marked man. He’s been forced to flee his home, his way of life, and the only man he’s ever loved. When the young man escapes to the US he finds the man who means everything to him has been lost to him, believing him dead. When he is suddenly confronted with an angel of death in the form of a devastatingly handsome assassin, broken-hearted Vasili welcomes his fate.
The twists and turns continue when Ichiro finds his lover threatened, and he suddenly knows that he must rise to the challenge and face the man who wants them both dead. Can he? Injured and alone, his target will learn… the Ninja has secrets of his own.
