A big thanks to GGR-Review for letting me stop by and discuss my latest Wizard’s Touch Book, Elijah’s Ghost. The Wizard’s Touch series is a series of books regarding young wizards going to a magical college where they learn to hone their skills. Elijah is one of those less-magically gifted students who plans to make a career in teaching theory rather than experience. That all changes when he discovers he can talk to ghosts. A powerful necromancer in his own right he has to learn to balance both his newly revealed magic and his love life.
I’ve always been fascinated by fantasy stories. My favorite books to write and read are those that involve a magical or paranormal element. I grew up reading Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey and Andre Norton and I think those influences never fully faded away. Letting reality fade away while I immerse myself in a world of someone else’s creation has always been one of my favorite past times.
In a world where the strength of your magic is the measure of your worth, Elijah gains both confidence in himself and a reputation as a major magical prodigy. To go from unseen to a superstar can take some adjustment but Elijah only cares what Devin thinks. Devin, one of three identical triplet wizards has been watching the shy wizard for some time. When an evil wizard from their past tries to destroy them, Elijah has to use his new powers to battle the darkness taking over Devin’s soul.
In Elijah’s Ghost I reveal more about the school and its teachers while revisiting both good and evil characters from earlier in the series. Although Elijah can be read alone, to understand all the character interactions I recommend reading the books prior to this one.
It only takes one event to change the world.
Elijah Trenton had always been considered a weak wizard. With little magic and an overpowering father he’d expected to spend his life teaching. When an accident reveals his ability to talk to the dead, new possibilities open up.
Devin Stewartson had been eyeing Elijah for months. The shy redhead drew his eye from that first day, and only the thought of a relationship had him shying away. When Elijah saves Devin’s life, Devin decides that some things are worth a chance.
Old enemies and new adversaries try to tear the two men apart, but love can withstand most anything and even death can’t part two men fated to be together.
