Jesse is the lone human in a family of two brothers that are werewolves. For some unknown reason the gene had skipped him and that is why his older brothers, Jaxon and Justice are very protective of him. When Jesse falls for Noah, the boys try their best to keep them apart. The love becomes Forbidden, but when the rogue wolves attack; Noah is the best person to keep Jesse safe. The rogues are the ones that killed the brother’s parents and friends when they were younger.
While Jesse is under Noah’s watch, they fall deeper and deeper in love with each other. Not only does it become majestic but also supernatural.
The war with the rogues carry on, while trying to balance love, friendships and running a club.
If you enjoy a short book with a lot going on, multiple characters, witches, werewolves, shifters and humans, then this is the book for you. I found it a bit hard to follow, there was so much going on that I could not even visually see the characters in my own head, jumping from the main character to a lesser character, back to the main character, back to another lesser character and describing that persons love life, etc., etc…
I wish I would have followed the series as I might have gained a better perspective on the other characters and I do suggest everyone else to start from the beginning of the series if you plan to read it. The sex scenes were short, which I enjoyed. Most romance authors drag them out; Sandrine Gasq-Dion has got the sexual interactions between gay men down pat. Descriptions are a tad underwritten, but that is okay. With so much going on, there is no time for very detailed specifics. The over-all love story between Noah and Jesse is absolutely beautiful.
I’ve had the pure enjoyment of reading this entire series. Jimmy is correct when he states that it would have helped to start at the beginning. ALL of the characters in this series are written so well you breathe a sigh of relief as they each come back at different times in the series. You’re favorite characters are never far away. (*Waves* “Hi, Nik”) If you want to read one of the best series written you need to check the Assassin/Shifters series, or maybe give the set as a Gift to someone.
