This type of story is one I really enjoy reading. We have Brad the collegiate jock and we have Sebastian the TA in Brad’s History class. I really enjoy the dynamic of the “Jock” and “Nerd/Scholar” relationship and Anne didn’t let me down. Furthermore, Anne always has a character with all of the physical attributes that I find sexy in a man, hairy chest, arms and thighs.
Brad always figured something was different about him when it came to his sexuality, being the Jock it has always been drummed into him that of course you are straight and you bed women. Brad went along with it but, as he got older the reality seems to have sunk in so he starts going out with the “good” girls, so he doesn’t have to perform. Now all of this we find out through the story and thank goodness we don’t have to experience it through the reading. (Afterall, Gay.Guy.Reading) Things really come to a head when Sebastian the Sexy and Hot TA arouses Brad.
Sebastian also notices the hunk sitting in the auditorium every time he walks in. How can you miss the football star with his tight bulging T-shirt. Sebastian is not your typical shy guy, he actually plays around and has earned himself a little reputation on the college campus. Brad decides to go for Sebastian and they end up getting together. Remember this is all NEW to Brad, so we get to go on Brad’s journey as he has his first M/M sexual experience, his first Love, his first breakup, his coming out and everything that is involved in starting a relationship.
Anne has written a beautiful, erotic and humorous book about Coming Out, Personal Acceptance and Love. Another thing that made this book fun to read, was that everything seemed so natural. I believed all of the feelings and emotions that each character portrayed in each scene, with each other and with their friends. This is Book 1 in the Theta Alpha Gamma series, so we meet some of the Frat boys that I am sure will show up later. We were introduced to just the right amount of characters so I never had to think about who that was, and I look forward to revisiting them in the next books. I especially liked Kyle who is Brads straight BFF, he has a comedic character but extremely caring for Brad, it was pretty cool.
A side note: I’ll never look at a ribbed hair brush the same again.
