I’m not your average grandmother. I have a degree in accounting that allowed me to work in several fields, finally landing in insurance. I’m addicted to horses and all things equine. I even owned a couple horses as a teenager. In my 40’s I started to take hunter/jumper lessons. I love riding a jump course at a canter. The jumps may not be very tall, but it’s still like flying. Total adrenaline rush.
I grew up in a very liberal state (Hawaii) and have always been a social justice type of person. Life there was very take care of the family no matter what. I think that’s how come I don’t understand people who discard their children for being different. I cry every time one of the people I follow on Twitter posts statistics about LBGT kids. Kids may be a trial when they’re teens, but they are still a gift.
I am an avid reader of most genres. I’m not all that fond of horror and hard core BDSM, but I’ll try anything once. I’ve been devouring books since grade school; I love the escape. I always thought of my life as boring (since I am living it, nothing seems exciting), so getting into books was my excitement. I read westerns & anything equine (Louis Lamour & Dick Francis) to start. I don’t remember my first M/M novel. I just remember going, “Oh, cool.” I love the different dynamic between MCs. Now I read mostly M/M stories. I especially love the ones with an equine plot. Well, I really love a good plot no matter the subject, I just gravitate to the horse related ones. I could go on and on about books, and I’m always accepting suggestions for what to read next. Thanks for checking me out!
