Brian has a fetish; it’s bondage. But poor Brian doesn’t have anyone to play with. So Brian has come up with a truly ingenious way to put himself into bondage, but still give him an out when the time is up. He plays in a very popular band named Attacked from Space, so doesn’t dare expose himself, so plays his games by himself. Until one day, waiting for his safeguard so he can get out of the bondage, someone enters his apartment.
Dylan enters the apartment to drop off a check. Dylan is Brian’s best friend and also plays in the band. The two of them write most of the music for the group. But today, Dylan finds a new side of Brian that he knew nothing about as he walks into the bathroom where Brian is subdued. They talk about Brian’s fetish, and because of the trust between them, Brian asks Dylan if he will indulge in his fantasy and play the bad guy who binds Brian up and does with him what he wants.
As time goes by, and the games continue, they get more and more complicated, and more and more sexual in nature. And the positions of dominant and submissive become very clear in their relationship. And the feelings for each other grow and intensify.
This book was a lot of fun to read. There is a lot of imagination in some of the scenarios Dylan comes up with for Brian, and also the development of the relationship between the two. Of course it starts slow, neither wanting to be exposed to the public, and each afraid to expose themselves and their feelings for the other. But as time goes by, and they push the boundaries of their game, they push the boundaries of their feelings. We are the beneficiaries of Ms. Rider’s great writing technique to slowly feel what each of the main characters feel as those feelings become stronger and more intense.
I enjoyed this book. It was a bit different, but still filled with sexual stimulation and sexual tension. You can feel it in the writing as the story progresses. It leaves you with tense, but happy feelings.
The Book Description:
Brian and Dylan have been best friends for years. They have no secrets between them, except for the ones they’re keeping from each other.
When Dylan lets himself into Brian’s apartment to drop something off, it couldn’t be worse timing–for Brian. He’s tied himself up to play out a kidnapping fantasy. He’s mortified, but Dylan is intrigued. He even offers to help Brian out next time he has an urge to be tied up.
No. That’s all Brian can think. No way. But the idea of someone else being in control overwhelms his thoughts–and self-bondage is suddenly a pale substitute for the real thing. He gives Dylan permission, on a trial basis, and comes face to face with a side of Dylan he’s never seen before. A really hot side.
As their games pick up steam, so does their relationship, along with Brian’s courage to go after the things he wants. Like, Dylan.
It might be happily ever after, but there’s one secret left, and it could ruin everything.
