This is a good love story with a bit of mystery mixed in. Jasper is divorced, gay and living on his mountain outside of San Diego. He is lonely and tired of the bar scene and one night stands and would desperately like to have someone to share his life with. Jasper lives on a 90 acre ranch out of sight from everyone, except for his 3 dogs, 2 cats and a couple of pigs. Doesn’t sound bad to me, I could totally see us living like that, take a look at the book cover. Oh yeah Jasper he is a total hottie; Tall, built, abs and hairy.
Then we have Timmy, we don’t know much about him, the author grows and reveals this character through the whole book right up to the last paragraph. We first find Timmy hiding out in the rocks by the house watching Jasper build his pig house. Jasper is physically everything that Timmy likes in a man. Timmy has been hiding out for a few days and is feeling sick, it starts to rain and Timmy takes shelter in the crooked pig house. This is where Jasper finds Timmy sick and incoherent. Timmy is physically beautiful in Jasper’s eyes.
The love story begins, this is the type of story you just curl yourself up in a blanket, get cozy and read until you are finished. I really enjoyed how the author gave us a little something new about Timmy all the way through the book. Before you start thinking that this is just going to be a schmucky love story that gets all sweet and drips of honey, hold back. We do have guns, drug lords, stolen cars and kidnapping. I hope that got your attention, because all of this mixed together makes for a most enjoyable read and I recommend you get this if you haven’t already.
