Double Full was just released on October 8th and has been climbing the Amazon Charts, it looks like Author Kindle Alexander has another Best Seller on her hands. Now who is the Lucky One? Kindle for getting such an amazing response or we the readers, who get to enjoy another great story? In my opinion I think we are all the winners here.
I had the immense pleasure of getting an Interview out of Kindle today (Friday 11th). I have to to tell you that when I started GGR-Review one of the things that was foremost on my wish list was sitting down with Kindle and talking about books, family and life. Well I achieved some of that today in the dialog below:
GGR: I finished reading Double Full for the second time this past Sunday and I have to say that I enjoyed it more the second time around because I understood the characters much better. I think I read it to quickly the first time and didn’t comprehend the depth of each character, so dopey me. Enough about me, let’s turn this around and find out about Kindle Alexander. Welcome to GGR-Review I find it hard to state how exciting it is to have you here to talk about your new book, Double Full.
OK, your turn to say something since I was rambling.
Kindle: *Shakes head no* You are rambling perfectly. Keep going! *whispers* Thank you for letting me be here!
GGR: Agh, you know I am like a giggling school girl with you here, back to talking before I go all school girl fan on you. I would like to start off asking how you came upon the characters. I found every one of the characters aided in molding the story.
Kindle: Scott, here is my truthful answer. I’m not sure. This story was written years ago. We couldn’t get anyone to want it, and the publishing house who FINALLY accepted the story sat on it for months, maybe as long as a year. I don’t remember where they came from. Isn’t that terrible? Except to say everyone is an extension of Keagan and Aidan. Can you guess which is which?
GGR: That is very interesting, and I never would have thought that. I guess those publishers are kicking their behinds now. I am going to say that Keagan is Colton because he is a little harder edged. (This is going to be one of those non confirmed responses)
Since we are still talking about your characters; this question I am sure everyone wants an answer to. How did you get Trevor Adams for the cover and how did you come to the conclusion to use him as the Model for Colton?
Kindle: Well, I called Trevy up and said, ‘hey you! I need you to come over so I can take your picture’! He said, ‘sure thing – should I wear clothes…..’ Whatever, it could be true! Honest answer is that it was the brilliant Reese Dante. She did it all and I’m blessed to have her for a cover designer. She’s also gotten into formatting books. She does it all and everyone should use her. They are messing up by not using her. I honestly cannot give her enough credit. She’s worth far more than she charges. Tell her Kindle sent you!
GGR: Not everyone may know this but you have mentioned that this book was co-written. Would you like to tell us a little bit about your writing partner and how this partnership came to be?
Kindle: My writing partner has become my dearest friend. She is the person I talk to the most in a day, and my go to person for just about everything in my life. We met years ago when our daughters were cheerleaders. Okay, wait, that might answer question number 1. Our daughters were those ESPN competing cheerleaders. We spent untold hours driving, sitting, paying, clapping at all those competitions. When my middle child died, she was there providing unwavering support. I call her the sympathy whisperer. And we’ve had gay male sex together. How many women can say that?
GGR; When writing with a partner how do you decide which parts to write?
Kindle: Well, that’s the greatness of us. We write all over each other – it’s truly one voice in our stories. We talk it out over the phone and then write, trading back and forth until you have no idea who wrote what. She is all the time saving you guys from my jokes. She will get my writing and hit delete, delete, delete, making sure I know that I’m not near as funny as I think I am.
GGR: When writing the sex scenes were you the top or bottom?
Kindle: I’m fascinated with the bottom. Maybe because I understand that more being a woman?? I’m into that gland. I want that prostate so I can see if it’s really a better orgasm. I’m talking to God now. In my next life, I want to be a hot, taller gay man with a full head of hair, that’s hung with an over active prostate. I know God’s funny, so I have to be very specific. He hasn’t said yes yet.
GGR: One of the first things that I tell people when they ask me about you is, “She always makes me Laugh or Smile” and I am probably going to have those funny laugh lines from smiling with you here today. Let’s get back to work now. What does the future hold for Jace and Colton?
Kindle: I think Colt will win the Lab.
GGR: I hope so, I couldn’t figure out why Jace would want a small dog. I don’t know if you will find this appropriate or not but I have to ask you this.
Kindle: (((BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Okay, go ahead))))
GGR: As a gay man I often wonder how straight women can write such engaging sexual trysts with their characters. So I ask you, how do you figure this all out? Are you best friends with a tell all gay couple? Do you watch gay porn or what?
Kindle: Well, you know I’m a florist. We have go to people to talk us through things and it’s amazing how open people can be when you get them one on one. Actually, this answers number 1 too. But, as crazy as this might sound, it’s really not all that different. We are all about the same. It works about the same. I did have a gay man tell me that the great thing about the vagina is that it’s self lubricating. He thought that was really convenient for us women.
GGR: Thanks for that.
Kindle: (Not sure you are really thanking me!)
GGR: Now I want to ask you a few silly things about Kindle Alexander. What is your favorite hobby? ( and you cannot say flower arranging)
Kindle: I can’t think of a hobby I have. ISN’T THAT TERRIBLE? I work all the time. I’ll come back to this one.
GGR: What does your Family think about having a M/M Romance Writer in the house?
Kindle: Just another day with mom and wife. My family is incredibly open. I’m not sure I’ve ever asked them what they think. Is that terrible? We are all supportive of each other.
GGR: I know they must be immensely Proud.
Kindle: I think my children are more like, SHOW ME THE MONEY! My husband is a reader. Books are so important to all of us, that makes this meaningful.
GGR: Is there anything you want to leave with us before we have to close this insightful chat?
Kindle: *lifts shirt and flashes the webcam* You mean like that kind of insightful?
GGR: “EEWWWWW my eyes my eyes”
Well I guess that ended that, the camera on my webcam just had a meltdown. This should go without saying but we wish all the Love and Happiness for Kindle. Thank you so much for spending a little time with me today and Look out Atlanta, Kindle and I are both going to be there for the GRL Retreat.
I also want to give a quick shout out to Aidan Wilde.

Here is Kindle Alexander’s Official Bio
Best Selling, and newly award winning (whooo hooo!) Author Kindle Alexander is an
innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance,
suspense, and erotica. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next! Happily
married with too many children, and dogs, living in the suburbs of Dallas.
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it
seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes
are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So
instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at
home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget
that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left
my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be
there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She
didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a
billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into
this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To
have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few
weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it
was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try
finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. it never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to meet my writing
partner. I would have never gotten through those dark days without her unwavering
support and guidance. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. For the first
time I used the hand offered. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today
without her. It takes a special person to come stand beside someone at a time like
that. I will love her forever. I could go on and on about both of them, but I won’t and now you know a little more About Me.
