The Guest Post by AKM Miles:
First, thanks to Gay Guy Reading and Friends for allowing me to participate in the blog tour. I appreciate being able to speak to readers in this way.
I’m so looking forward to GRL this year. I will be going again as a featured author and I love being involved with the fans in the different events planned. I help out, volunteering with the organizers, too, so if anyone needs anything and I can help, let me know and I’ll be able to hook you up with someone who will really know what’s going on.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet friends made at other events and make new ones who are coming for the first time. I hope to make new friends this year, as I dearly love the ones I’ve made in the past. You can’t have too many friends! Plus, hugs are nice, huh?
I have a new Scarcity book coming out the day before Halloween. It’s just a little short shocker, but the followers of that series should love it. A quote…”Made you laugh.”
The book I’d like to talk about here is Seeing Double, A Scarcity Sanctuary Series. In this book, you meet Jojo and Jaja and they will be in all future books, which is good, because they are, indeed, precious. These two will steal your heart and they kind of help bring Ben and Chip together. It’s pretty intense, but there’s some humor, some terror, and a lot of love.
The Book Description:
When Ben called Soldier that morning, his first day at the theater, he had very strange things to request. When he called the second time, things were even more bizarre. From there things went downhill pretty quickly. He had found someone to love, finally, but would they both live long enough to act upon their feelings? Chip Carver was just what Ben wanted, but between crazy people trying to kill Ben, an evil pimp out to get Chip, the man watching the house, and adorable twins, would they ever be able to connect? Oh, come on, this is Scarcity, people.
“We’ll help. Jaja, get that crutch we found the other day. That should help him walk. Once we get you inside, we’ll get you settled and keep you warm.”
Jaja was moving, going for the crutch and Chip asked Jojo more questions. “How do you all stay warm? I know you have a blanket each, but it’s got to be freezing in there. How come no one has found you? How do you eat?”
“We’re just little so we double up one blanket and use the other one over us. We sleep together and make like spoons. I curl around him to keep his back warm and when I start shivering we turn and he keeps my back warm.” He shrugged. “It works.”
“Smart. How do you keep your feet warm? I’m freezing now.”
From behind him, Jaja answered, “The bunnies.”
“Hmm? What?” Did he hear right? He might have to ask Jojo to poke him after all because he could have sworn he heard Jaja say the bunnies.
Jojo saw the look on his face and snickered. “Just come on, we’ll explain it once we get you inside. Are you sure you don’t want to go home or something?”
“Yeah. No. I don’t wanna go home, now or ever.”
“Sometimes home sucks, huh? Get ready for more pain. I gotta feelin’ this is gonna hurt awful bad. They beat the shit out of you, man. I mean, Chip.”
Wanna know a secret? The first three letters of my name are initials of three friends who encouraged me to follow my dream. The last name? Well, I couldn’t use her name so I used her dog’s name, Miles.
