I love paranormal shifter stories so I was very happy to get my “paws” on this story. I loved the way in which Ken was created. He was a belligerent, defensive overweight shifter. His mate Van who was another shifter, was handsome, charismatic and dangerous. I loved the combination. I enjoyed reading this story but also felt that it might appear rushed at times, especially near the end. The sensuous parts in the story were sexy and imaginative. The dialogue between characters did not always feel congruent to the scene or the people. I felt confused about Ken’s ex boyfriend’s behavior towards the end of the story because there was no indication about his changing behavior or feelings. That caught me unaware a little. I didn’t understand why Ken was called a pup but it suited him. Nevertheless, I still wonder why he was called “pup”!! This is an easy read erotic romance for anyone who may want to read and relax. I read it at night before I fell asleep and during my lunch breaks. It made resting time a pleasant experience.
Submissive Omega Ken doesn’t trust domineering alpha males, meat-eaters, and insensitive pricks. Van Walker is all three. Someone broke Ken’s heart once, leaving him to pick up the pieces. Slow and easy is what Ken wants in a relationship, but Van’s hell on wheels. Van doesn’t understand the word ‘no’. Ken will buck before he says ‘yes’. Can they come to a compromise?
