I like this book. It gave me a different viewpoint when it comes to werewolf mating. Mates are able leave each other, but the author kept the mating effects in the story which I really liked and also the mated couple was Human and Werewolf. As far as I can tell this is Sean’s first book and in my opinion he really has a good thing going.
Tanner has been away from Amber Falls for the past 4 years and has returned to mourn the loss of their Alpha. Tanner is human and also mated to Dash the pack Beta, even though the 2 have been separated Tanner has never been able to fully move on or create any kind of emotional relationship with anyone and he has learned to block his mating ties effectively blocking out Dash. Right off the bat the action starts as Tanner arrives at his home in Amber Pines, he is attacked by a werewolf. Questions also arise as to the death of the Alpha which is what the action in the book basically revolves around.
This book really sets the characters and the storyline up for what I think Sean is going to take this series. Sean gave me a fresh perspective on werewolves and Tanner and Dash are really hot together. This is a definite book tgo read and series to follow.
