This is the third book in “The Secrets Collection” and I’m not telling any secrets when I say how much I am enjoying these quick reads.
Today I am going to introduce you to Aaron and Rob. Aaron is in his 2nd year of Uni and has moved out of the dorms after answering an advert for a housemate. The advert “Any gender/sexual orientation/political view welcome, just no pets” was especially poignant as one of the secrets Aaron has been keeping is that he is gay. Aaron is the first to arrive and meets his first two housemates, during the unpacking process a boxed pink toy was found must to the chagrin of the owner of the box. Rob is the final housemate to arrive and Aaron has a little bit of a boy crush on him. Now how did that darned boxed pink toy end up in Aaron’s sock drawer?
I’m impressed with the writing style of Annabelle Jacobs, she can effortlessly transition scenes that make the reading experience smooth and enjoyable. She sets the characters up briliantly, we already know that Rob is self confident so it was no surprise when he asked personal questions or said what was on his mind. The character of Aaron whom is shy and reserved, and a virgin can come out of his shell and let his sexiness flow. Aaron becomes much more confident with what he wants and like Rob is not afraid to express it.
I’m very impressed with how much story is packed into 34 pages. The ending came a little bit short but it didn’t surprise me. I do want to read more about Rob and Aaron, I think that Toy With Me is just the brink of several erotic stories that the boys could get themselves into.
