Starting this book out, I thought that I would not be able to finish it. Here I was thinking to myself, “oh god, not another Fifty Shades/gay romance type of book”. But to my surprise, it was nothing like that!
The story had done a complete 360, on what I originally thought was going to happen. A lot of things had stormed in by surprise and kept me on my toes. The sex seemed fucking fantastic; I love versatile characters and men wanting to please their partner. The character descriptions seemed very vague, which is the one bone I had to pick with this book. When I have a character introduced to me in a book, I want to see the fly-away hairs on the top of their head, I want to know the shape of the mouth, the soulfulness in the eyes, and that was the only thing this book lacked. The character backgrounds and getting to know them seemed like a solid foundation, the story had an amazing development and a decent amount of complexity revolving around the plot. Would I recommend this book to anyone else?
Yes. Did this book get me hard? No, maybe a chub…
Alex Maddox is a complete geek; he is smarter than anyone else he has ever met. Alex has spent the past four years of his life working on a robot that no one knew about until recently (or at least he thought). His twin brother Micah, the complete opposite of him; manager of local Drag Kings and Queens, introduces Alex to a long-time friend, Christian for advertising help. The annual Maker Summit and his thirtieth birthday are rapidly approaching. Alex begins to wonder if he will be alone the rest of his life, he needs someone that will encourage him to be himself and treat him as an equal.
Christian Lawson is an advertising guru that knows all the ends and outs that it takes to make Alex’s creation succeed. A ‘beautiful’ man that is compared to Thor, but he was crippled by a motorcycle accident; leaving his leg disfigured and dependent on the use of a cane. Even though most people would see this as a disadvantage and feel sorry for him, Alex sees strength and wisdom.
Sparks begin to fly, but now they have the struggles of working together, a haunting past that is coming to pay a visit, and the future success of Alex’s beautiful creation.
