I tried to ease into this one, but I couldn’t. After the last book by Kindle I read, there was too much excitement built up inside me not to get the reading started straight away. I delved in full blast, nearly tripping over area rugs as I dashed to my favorite window seat to crack the binder on this book. Or – more like swipe the finger across the super sensitive interactive screen. Gotta love this day and age. – Anyways – .
I was quickly roped in once again by one of Kindle’s exquisitely written stories of two men stumbling across one another without even trying and falling in love. Holey wholehearted homosexuals this was a good one. ‘Up In Arms’ grabbed hold of me the moment the first words spilled from the pages and seeped into my head. Parallel to Texas Pride, the romance unfolded at the front of the story, which I like and always will so that I can enjoy the coupling throughout the story.
I fell love-smitten with this story for several reasons. Primarily because of how true to life it was, as well as how close it related to current events and trials that are not so far into our future.
This was a heartfelt, love at first sight sexy romance between two handsome men that tackled a few obstacles while building a sweet life together. Ups and downs occur along the way, which is normal and kept me teetering on the edge of my seat.
I enjoyed that there was solid support from family and friends that didn’t stand in their way of deep true love for one another. Other than the typical noise maker who strived to benefit from aiming a big bright spotlight on a male/male love affair without an invitation, which I found to be engaging to the story in a comical way, there was really no threatening individual that was not quickly flushed out. A book needs proper friction. This one had it.
Surprisingly, there was a twist to the story I was not expecting that reeled me in even deeper, rocked my nerves in a way that cracked my heart, as well as made me plead for a positive outcome. This of course tugged at my soul and I was chipping at the bit to read on for that happy ever after.
Taking a moment to catch my breath after reading another magnificent novel by Kindle Alexander, this book closes in a pleasant way where the end was easy to accept, making it okay to say goodbye. I could picture the final chapter actually taking place the way it did and found it to be a satisfyingly natural event. Click on it if you enjoy an emotional sexy romance.
