Ethan Kerr and Hunter Westmore are the two sexiest men I have read about lately. As you recall, they met when Ethan came into town with nowhere to go, and needing a job. He got one at the Honky Tonk, which was owned by Hunter. Thus began the saga of these two, Hunter the Dom, and his boy Ethan, his Sub.
Wedding Bells and Bullets is the last in the trilogy of these two lovable characters, and as with the other books, this one does not disappoint. There is a wedding in the making, and the story revolves around the wedding plans, and the kinks that keep appearing to test their strength and bond.
One is Antonio Carrillo, the mobster that helped them in the second book. He is calling in the favor for helping them, and this favor is not something that makes Hunter happy at all, but he really has no choice.
Enter Troy Caster, a gay right hand man to Antonio, who has tried to steal Dante Castillo’s lover, who ended up disappearing. Since Dante is Antonio’s brother, he has to hide Troy for the foreseeable future, as Antonio says, and the ranch, he has decided, is the perfect place.
At the same time, two more characters from the earlier books, Reggie and Drew, and Drew’s daughter Kayla come to live in the original house on the farm, and help out on the ranch. And this is what brings a series of incidents, deceits, and troubles that turn the ranch upside down.
Also still here are Jake, the handsome foreman of the ranch; Carter, the manager of the Honky Tonk; Reggie’s father Daniel, who has decided it is Hunters fault that his son is gay, and has gone on a personal vendetta and is making things impossible for Ethan, who is trying to plan the wedding; and Ethan’s parents and brother, who are invited guests to the wedding.
The wedding is not going to be anything like anyone has experienced, and everyone is looking forward to the loving couple saying their vows. But fate has ways of making things go from bad to worse, and this is exactly what happens to our boys.
One other little piece of the story is putting the Ethan and Hunters horses, Rocky and Mayhem, into much more prominent positions. These two have become an integral part of the story, and play a very important role here.
This book was just as much fun to read as the first two, and does an excellent job of wrapping the story of these two up and showing the plans for the future and leaves the reader happy and hopeful for them. I love the way Rain can describe things so that you can paint the picture in your mind. Her manipulation of your emotions is fun, and her sex scenes are hot and steamy.
The one thing about this being the last of the trilogy is that I have it on good authority that Rain isn’t done writing by any means, and look forward to the upcoming stories that she has in that wonderful imagination of hers.
Book Description What will happen to the wedding of the century in Mesa Rojo when Hunter and Ethan are forced to babysit a mobster, deal with the homophobic father of the groomsman, and overcome their own cold feet? Sparks!
Hunter and Ethan are back in the third and final installment of the Honky Tonk Trilogy. In this story we revisit Westmore Ranch where Hunter is forced to have a man stay on the ranch who is a member of a west coast crime family. This man, Troy Castor, sets his sights on damaged Drew behind Reggie’s back. In steps Ethan to save the day but with heavy consequences.
The wedding is not going as planned as Reggie’s father blames Hunter for “corrupting his only son into homosexuality”. He starts rumors, causing the vendors to run for cover to avoid being in the middle of a war between the two largest cattlemen in the area. This and their own insecurities about being a man the other deserves has them both worried if they are even ready to commit for a lifetime.
When the day finally comes bullets fly. With the bullets come revelations, tears and new dreams to reach for but will Hunter and Ethan be the ones reaching for them together or will one have to set out on his own?
