First off I’m just going to say that I loved this book. Part of what made this book so entertaining were definitely the characters. We have Prescott who started out straight in the story, was in an accident and came out of it blind. Then we have Prescott’s sexy neighbor Dr. Ric and lastly the lovable male escort Blair.
This is a menage story but they just didn’t fall into bed and live happily ever after, oh no, these guys fought each other to get together. I can’t stress it enough on how exciting it was reading this story the way that the characters came together.
At first it was Prescott and Rick after Ric came to Prescott’s rescue. Things sail along nicely until they have a disagreement over a practical joke and Rick ends it with Prescott. Time goes by and Prescott is lonely and horny, he hires a male escort. Blair is an all sexy southern jock type that is studying to be a Chef, which works out because Prescott is a world renowned Chef. Blair meets Rick at the Elevator in the building and they both take on an Alpha role. During all of this time Prescott and Ric are having sex and then Prescott and Blair are getting to know each other. The sex in this book is hot,” just saying” have an ice pack ready to cool you down, and we haven’t even got to the menage yet.
Prescott has another accident in his apartment and is hospitalized and placed in a coma so that the bump on his head can heal. It is during this time that Ric and Blair come to an understanding, well maybe not an understanding more of a “we have to have each other” moment. This is the time that the Menage is being considered and it also brings around a big old curve in the story. I was elated with what the Author did with this story. The last portion of the book is just as exciting as the first and middle parts, I’ve never quite read a story that was put together like this before, sure it had Angst, Sex, Betrayal, and Sex, it’s the way that they were blended expertly together that sets this book aside from others. I think the Author A.E. Via has a very bright future writing in the Gay Male genre.
Book Description Renowned Chef Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career when a car accident leaves him completely blind. His fiancé leaves him in a state of desperation and depression. Prescott pines for love and happens to find it in his neighbor; male neighbor Dr. Rickson Edwards. Prescott never considered himself gay, but when Ric saves him, Prescott begins to view his rescuer differently. However, when Ric and Prescott have problems, Prescott seeks comfort from an escort but was unprepared for the sexy, southern, hotness that is Blair McKenzie. Prescott now has to choose between his two men…or does he?
