In this installment of the Zombie Boyz collection, Kaleb is a young man working
for his money, who arrives home after a night of work to find that his home has
been hit by the Zombie Apocalypse, and has hit his family hard. The only one not
affected is his brother Pat, who was at his girlfriend’s house when it hit. This is the
story of Kaleb’s fight to get to and save his brother.
Along the way, he meets Cooper, a snobbish, angry Brit who is in Las Vegas to
forget his boyfriend from home. Cooper is a survivalist who foresaw the coming of
the Apocalypse and decides he needs to get home to England where he has been
prepared for all sorts of disasters for quite some time.
What transpires when the two meet and go on their journey to accomplish their
separate goals is a whole adventure in itself. Will they end up killing each other
before the zombies get them? That is one of the questions that make this book
so fun. There is comedy, adventure, love, hot sex, and chills in this, my favorite
of the three Zombie series books that I read. At times, it almost reminds you of
a James Bond thriller, or a great western, though there are no horses or Ferraris.
I like the way it is written. It isn’t too bloody, but brings all the emotion and fear
that would be involved if this scenario really happened.
